I've seen a few stories about this lately. Would tempt me into the FPGA world ...

I hope he can pull it off. I have a couple of MiSTer's already, but it'd be nice to have this cheap option available, and it'd definitely open up the FPGA world to more people.

There are also people porting over the Atari ST and the Amiga core to a super budget chinese FPGA over at the Atari Forum. I hope for somebody porting the MiST Spectrum core too. This FPGA costs under 25€.

For TN_9k\TN_20k - there are already two ZX Spectrum cores, as well as other quite interesting projects :)
