Hey ! This is a pretty decent asteroids clone with some distinctive features of its own that makes it even more engaging and entertaining .
First of all , it is very colorful , and the sound effects work pretty well -especially the Encounters of the Third Kind sinthony- , then there is the variety of the ship´s movements -hyperspace included- , then it is the U.F.O. appearing by surprise , a cool touch - , etc.
All in all , a very good release -if not too original- for 1984 .
Not bad for an asteroids clone.
But not really good either.
Character graphics are colourful and quickly moving.
But movement is limited to, well, character squares.
There are only 8 directions for your ship and the asteroids and the ufo, too.
So it's pretty simple stuff.
No inertia here so your ship stops moving as soon as you let go of the thrust key.
Like I said - it's simple stuff.
Playable but nothing too exciting.
And not really too much like asteroids.

Another asteroids clone. The presentation is competent, with averagely looking colourful graphics.
Movement is too limited, with only 8 directions for your ship to move, there is no inertia which may be a good thing to some players, for me it's spoils the mechanic of the original game.
Overall it's not bad but not good either.
