Reviews for Annals of Rome (#207)

An interesting strategy game. It's based in the ancient Rome Empire and it's rise and fall. The player plays a role of power in the senate and as to deploy Roman armies in successive foreign and also civil wars. You'll get historical powers like Cartaghinians, Huns, Vandals, Franks, Goths, etc, each fighting for a piece of the pie and to extend its own territory and influence. Actual history plays an important role in the game, which may help if you paid attention to history classes.
The game is played as a sequence of game turns, each one representing between 1 and 25 historical years, this may be confusing, and requires a little study of the game mechanics. The game will end when the Empire has collapsed.

It's a great game for fans of both strategy games and history lessons.
