This game is a train wreck, one of those games that's so bad it's hilarious. There are multiple events each having you press space to throw, jump or a burst of speed in the running events and in the latter the speed burst hardly works, even after pressing it it just fails to register. Also the 800m joins in at the halfway point which basically means you've put the 400m in twice, that is just lazy, lazy programming. Then after all the events are finished we sim through the non-playable events such as 1500m, 5000m, boxing and judo etc and of all these events I only won one gold in lightweight boxing, everything else we lost. And then have "make note" of these scores for side two where you then enter what you scored in side one, meaning you can just cheat and say you won every event! And also, yes unbelievably there's more, the inconsistency in this game is astounding. In side 2 we have the marathon in between events, five stages in all. In stage 3 and 4 I was nowhere near the front of the pack but by the final stage I was the first one to appear on screen and ended up winning! This is so fricking bad. There are a lot of events so you did get some degree of value for money, it wasn't like it's six events and your done, but perhaps there's too many events and most of them are poorly implemented anyway. I nearly died in laughter playing this game, because it's so inconsistent and absolutely dreadful in every conceivable way and yet it was bloody funny at the same time. On hilarity this get five fucking stars all day long, but on quality it's a 1 and it's lucky to even get that. Never again Jesus, never again.
