This always looked like a great game but it's intense difficulty made it too frustrating for me too enjoy it. I guess you can still call this a conversion faithful to the original.

One of the most difficult games on the planet gets the rough Speccy treatment….and they managed to keep the insane difficulty in fact! It's insane! I've never gotten far with this game at all.

Shadow Warriors looks great, sounds great, but my it'll frustrate you...or at least it frustrated me...ah well.

This is a very colourful beat-em-up.Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be very much in the way of moves. Just hold left and right and fire, and hope for the best. It's also extremely tough and I couldn't get very far at all. With some more moves and a less brutal difficulty level, this could've been a classic.

As a conversion this game is a success, but as a game itself it is a really frustrating one. It's colorful, well written, but it's so damn hard! If you've paid the full price back when it was released, well I feel sorry for you, because you got stuck with an incredibly difficult game. Most kids put it aside. I'm sure this game would be better remembered if it would have been done a little easier than what it is.

This is a scrolling beat'em up with big, colourful sprites and backgrounds. The characters, though, are often rather grotesque in their shape and movements, because they're composed by blocks and shaded by black masks to avoid colour clash. The game is pretty hard too, but nonetheless definitely more interesting than similar efforts like U.S. Gold's Vigilante or Melbourne House's Double Dragon. So, all in all, not bad at all for the Speccy.
3,5/5

Converted from the Tecmo coin-op of the same name, Shadow Warriors is a horizontally scrolling gang beat-em-up characterized by large, well-drawn and colorful graphics. It is every bit as taxing as the original arcade game, which may put easily frustrated players away from it, but if you like this genre - which has not many worth playing examples on the Spectrum - you are going to have a good time with the Shadow Warrios. 8/10

The good thing about this one is that it returns to the popular theme of oriental fighters!!
