Reviews for Beach Buggy Simulator (#479)

This is like Metro Cross but on a car and it's really bloody fast, and as it turns out too fast. You spend more time crashing than anything else because of the speed, you're constantly hitting things, you can't time your jumps correctly, the jump is pretty crap anyway, and so it was not as fun as I'd hoped it would be, like at all.

Beach Buggy Simulator is so full of errors, I don't even know where to start.
The word "Simulator" in the name couldn't be less accurate. Even a Matchbox miniature looks more real.
Then you have the option in the main menu to choose your keys, just press option Keyboard and defined them. This was when I started to get the feeling this was gonna be a crappy game just by entering new keys, because the keyboard was not all that responsive, I had to press down harder than usual.
After doing that I had to press the one player option two times for the "simulator" to start.
And what a surprise when it started!
The keys are really responsive here, as a matter a fact, too responsive! I couldn't control the buggy, either too fast or too slow! Ahhh! Look out!!

Then I used the jump key to avoid an obstacle, and the buggy started firing up! Yes, firing! If you want to jump use the UP key! The new defined jump key in the main menu is meant for FIRING not JUMPING (even though it clearly says JUMP).

Anyway the game plays similar to Moon Patrol but instead of a moon you play on a beach, a blue beach. You jump over obstacles and avoid being hit by Helicopters and the sort.
Like I said before it's hard to control your Buggy, either too fast or too slow. Some obstacles require a bit more accuracy and the speed simply doesn't allow for that. The helicopters also appear too fast, and sometimes you don't have enough time to blow them away.
There are 8 rounds to be played, they all look the same, play the same and feature the exact same obstacles, helicopters and a sort of unidentified flying caterpillar/centipede.

I'm out of here!
