After Winter Games any similar sports action game looked inferior to me, this is the case with Winter Olympiad '88. It's not bad, but it's a so-so game, some events are good, others are too average or done better before, and the overall feeling I get is very different from the all around excellent Winter Games. Also with just 5 events why load each event individually when you could just comprise several events in 2 or 3 parts of a game, like seen in so many others, Decathlon, for instance? And the opening sequence, relating to the Canadian 1988 Winter Olympics, looks like it was made in a hurry.
