The Quill was the first text adventure creator and editor, responsible for hundreds of titles, including the use by several software companies to create best selling titles.
It was revolutionary in the way that allowed anyone to come up with a quality adventure game as equally good as professional ones.
It made earlier on a deep mark in microcomputer scene, being responsible for the success of many new companies.
The Quill only allowed for text only adventures games but later a add-on called The Illustrator was made allowing users to include graphics in their adventures.
