A pretty good effort, considering the complexity of the original coin-op. Nice but scarcely animated graphics and almost no sound do not play in its favor. Pity you couldn't throw Hadouken energy spheres but Sagat could!
Of all the home computer versions, and I played all of them, this was the best one - think about the others then (the C64 "UK" version being particularly appalling!).

Yes Street Fighter on the ZX Spectrum and let’s face it it’s not great really, well it is by Tiertex after all so this was ultimately doomed from the start. The graphics aren't great though the sprites are decent enough so that scores points, but the gameplay is rather crooked and there seems to be no way you can do the special moves...hang on I don't think this has the special moves...but if they do they are next to impossible to pull off...oh and Sagat hit me with his Tiger projective...now that's not fair!
I really like the original Street Fighter and it's become a bit of a cult classic for me but this port does it little justice whatsoever, I really wanted to like this but I can't which is a great shame. Well done Tiertex!
